CONSTITUTION OF THE CITIZENS SUPPORT FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE (CSGG)
PREAMBLE
We, the members of the Citizens Support for Good Governance (CSGG), united by a shared commitment to national peace, security, unity, and productive governance, hereby establish this Constitution to guide our structure, purpose, operations, and activities.

Recognizing the need for citizens to support government institutions in promoting stability, transparency, and development, and affirming our role in strengthening national peacebuilding through grassroots mobilisation, community intelligence awareness, and civic engagement, we enact this Constitution for the effective administration of CSGG across Nigeria.

CHAPTER ONE: NAME, MOTTO & IDENTITY
1.1 Name
The name of the organisation shall be Citizens Support for Good Governance (CSGG).

1.2 Motto
Peace, Unity, Participation, Progress.

1.3 Identity
CSGG shall operate as a non-political, non-violent, nationally coordinated civic organisation committed to strengthening good governance and supporting government institutions toward national stability.

CHAPTER TWO: VISION, MISSION, AIMS & OBJECTIVES
2.1 Vision
To build a peaceful, united, and secure Nigeria where citizens actively collaborate with government institutions for stability, national productivity, and good governance.

2.2 Mission
To mobilize and empower citizens nationwide into a coordinated civic network that strengthens national security awareness, promotes peace, supports reforms, counters misinformation, and enhances community participation in governance.

2.3 Aims
Promote national unity, peace, and patriotism.

Strengthen government institutions through civic cooperation.

Mobilize communities for national security awareness and peacebuilding.

Counter misinformation and destabilization narratives.

Support transparency and good governance in all sectors.

2.4 Objectives
Establish a 2 Million Community Intelligence & Peace Volunteers Network nationwide.

Build statewide and local early-warning and community reporting systems.

Promote positive public enlightenment and responsible governance advocacy.

Strengthen civil-military relations and collaboration.

Mobilize youths, women, civil society, and traditional institutions for peace and unity.

Support national policies that promote peace, stability, and development.

CHAPTER THREE: MEMBERSHIP
3.1 Eligibility
Membership shall be open to all Nigerians of good character who support the aims and objectives of CSGG.

3.2 Categories of Membership

Advisory Members

3.3 Rights of Members
Members shall have the right to:

Participate in CSGG activities

Hold office subject to qualification

Receive updates, training, and organisational briefings

Nominate candidates for leadership positions

3.4 Duties of Members
Members are expected to:

Uphold the values of CSGG

Promote peace and unity

Support government institutions responsibly

Participate in community intelligence awareness activities

CHAPTER FOUR: NATIONAL STRUCTURE

Coordinate national programmes and policies.

Approve national strategies for mobilisation.

Issue national statements and directives.

Every state chapter shall operate under a SEC.

Each LGA shall have a structured leadership to coordinate ward activities.

The Advisory Council shall guide the organisation with expert insight.

Strategic communications specialists

8.2 Functions
Provide strategic advice.

Support national peace initiatives.

Strengthen national credibility.

CHAPTER NINE: GRAND PATRON & PATRONS
9.1 Grand Patron
A highly respected national figure appointed by the NEC.

9.2 Responsibilities
Provide national moral guidance

Strengthen the organisation’s visibility

Support national unity and peace campaigns

9.3 State & LGA Patrons
May be appointed by state chapters to strengthen legitimacy.

CHAPTER TEN: FINANCE & FUNDING
10.1 Sources of Funding
Membership contributions

Approved fundraising programmes

10.2 Financial Accountability
All funds must be transparently managed and audited.

CHAPTER ELEVEN: CODE of CONDUCT
11.1 Principles
Members must:

Promote peace, unity, and order

Avoid political partisanship

Uphold national interest

Respect community structures

Avoid sharing false or sensitive intelligence

11.2 Prohibited Conduct
Violence or incitement

Misuse of organisational identity

Dissemination of misinformation

Corruption or misappropriation

CHAPTER TWELVE: AMENDMENTS
Amendments may be proposed by the NEC and approved by a two-thirds majority of state coordinators.

CHAPTER THIRTEEN: DISSOLUTION
In the event of dissolution, assets shall be transferred to a recognised national charity promoting peace and civic development.

ADOPTION
This Constitution is hereby adopted as the governing document of the Citizens Support for Good Governance (CSGG).
