No Vacancy in 2027: Uba Sani a Blessing to Kaduna, Says Victor Bobai

A growing wave of public opinion across Kaduna State and beyond continues to affirm that there will be no vacancy at Sir Kashim Ibrahim House in 2027, as Governor Uba Sani’s leadership is widely seen as surpassing the expectations of citizens through inclusive governance, peace-building, and people-focused development.
Speaking in Kaduna, public affairs commentator and political analyst, Victor Bobai, described Governor Uba Sani as “a blessing to the people of Kaduna,” noting that his calm, empathetic, and consultative leadership style has restored trust between the government and the governed.
According to Bobai, the governor’s achievements visible across civic and digital spaces span improved security collaboration, labour harmony, social welfare interventions, renewed investment drive, and sustained engagement with communities long affected by violence and neglect.
Bobai said Governor Uba Sani’s greatest achievement is the return of humanity to governance in Kaduna, stressing that both Muslim and Christian leaders, as well as traditional rulers and civil society groups, now feel heard and respected. “Kaduna has moved from a politics of fear to a politics of dialogue.
That shift alone explains why citizens believe continuity is the best option in 2027,” he stated.
In a sharp contrast, Bobai criticized the leadership legacy of former Governor Nasir El-Rufai, describing it as harsh, divisive, and lacking empathy. He argued that many Kaduna residents still associate the period with heightened tension, loss of lives, and deep social fractures. “El-Rufai remains a curse to this generation of Kaduna politics and cannot be trusted. His style of leadership alienated the people and normalized suffering,” Bobai said.
He further warned that any candidate backed by the former governor would be perceived by the electorate as a continuation of what he described as an authoritarian and self-centered approach to governance.
According to him, Kaduna people have become more politically aware and are no longer willing to gamble with peace and stability.
As 2027 approaches, analysts note that Governor Uba Sani’s broad acceptance across religious and political divides, coupled with his alignment with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s national development agenda, has strengthened the perception that continuity remains the safest and most progressive path for Kaduna State.
For many stakeholders, the message is increasingly clear: Kaduna has found steady leadership, and going backward is not an option. Hence, the growing consensus across communities and interest groups that there is no vacancy at Sir Kashim Ibrahim House in 2027.
