Stakeholders Convene to Support President Tinubu’s Safety Reforms, Highlight Role of Defence Minister CG Musa
Abuja, Nigeria —
Stakeholders from civil society, media, youth groups, traditional institutions, and policy circles will converge for a one-day Stakeholder Engagement Forum aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s democracy through safety and defence reforms under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
The forum, organised by Privilege Magazine in collaboration with Citizens Support for Good Governance (CSGG), is themed:
“Strengthening Nigeria’s Democracy through Safety Reforms: Supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Strategic Role of the Honourable Minister of Defence, General Christopher Gwabin Musa (rtd.)”.
According to the organisers, the engagement scheduled to take place in Kaduna on 22nd January ,2026 is designed to build informed public support for the Tinubu administration’s safety reform agenda and to highlight the critical role of civilian-led defence governance under the Honourable Minister of Defence, General CG Musa (rtd.).
Speaking ahead of the event, the Editor-in – Chief of Privilege Magazine Adeyemi Abraham and the National Coordinator of the Citizens Support for Good Governance (CSGG) Dr Olayinka Adeosun , noted that Nigeria’s democracy cannot thrive without security, public trust, and strong institutions.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has demonstrated clear political will in repositioning safety and defence as pillars of democratic stability.
The Honourable Minister of Defence, General CG Musa (rtd.), represents the professionalism and reform-driven leadership required to translate this vision into lasting national confidence,” the statement said.
The forum will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, and interactive stakeholder dialogue focusing on:
The link between safety reforms and democratic stability.
Civilian oversight of defence institutions.
Media responsibility and citizen participation in national security discourse.
Participants are expected to adopt a stakeholder communiqué endorsing support for democratic governance, national safety reforms, and constructive civil–military relations.
The organisers emphasized that the engagement is non-partisan and patriotic, aimed at strengthening public understanding, countering misinformation, and mobilizing citizens as partners in democracy and national security.
Media organisations have been invited to participate actively in the forum and subsequent advocacy efforts.
