President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State as Renewed Hope Ambassador and Deputy Director-General for party outreach, engagement, and mobilisation.
The appointment, which takes immediate effect, was announced in a State House press release signed by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.
According to the statement, President Tinubu, in his capacity as leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), appointed Governor Sani in recognition of his salient leadership qualities, grassroots political strength, and organisational competence.
In his new role, Governor Sani will work closely with the Director-General of Renewed Hope Ambassador and the party hierarchy, particularly the National Chairman of the APC, to ensure harmony, inclusiveness, and strategic coordination across all levels of mobilisation and engagement nationwide.
President Tinubu charged the newly appointed Renewed Hope Ambassador and Deputy Director-General to galvanise support, promote and disseminate the party’s programmes and achievements, and strengthen public confidence in the Renewed Hope Agenda.
In a letter conveying the appointment, the President wrote:
“The overall objective of your appointment is to ensure that the entire citizenry is aware of, understands, and ultimately supports our party and its candidates at all levels for broad national acceptance in the 2027 election. Preparation is critical and essential to achieving this outcome, and your leadership will be central to guiding this process effectively and strategically.”
Reacting to the development, political stakeholder Victor Mathew Bobai described the appointment as “a clear validation and testimony” that Senator Uba Sani has consistently demonstrated a genuine desire to serve the people.
Bobai said the President’s decision represents strong political confidence in the Kaduna governor and reflects an acknowledgment of his commitment to inclusive governance, poverty reduction in the North, and the unification of Northern political elements under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
According to him, Governor Sani’s leadership style embodies servant leadership anchored on grassroots engagement, youth empowerment, economic inclusion, and a deliberate effort to confront the realities of poverty and social dislocation in Northern Nigeria.
Observers believe the appointment signals a strategic consolidation of party structures in the North ahead of the 2027 general elections, with Governor Sani expected to play a pivotal role in harmonising mobilisation efforts and strengthening nationwide support for the Renewed Hope vision.
