CSGG Media Director Hails Gujungu’s Appointment as Turning Point for Kaduna Political Mobilisation
Kaduna — The Director of Media and Public Affairs of Citizens Support for Good Governance (CSGG), Victor Mathew Bobai, has extended a strong goodwill message to Honourable Gambo Ibrahim Gujungu following his appointment as Kaduna State Director of the City Boy Movement (CBM).
Describing the development as “well-deserved and strategic,” Bobai said the emergence of Gujungu signals a new phase of coordinated grassroots engagement and political consolidation in Kaduna State.
The City Boy Movement had earlier confirmed Gujungu’s appointment, approved by its Director-General, Oluwatosin Francis Shoga, with immediate effect. The organisation noted that the decision followed a rigorous assessment of Gujungu’s leadership credentials, administrative experience, and long-standing commitment to public service.
Reacting to the announcement, Bobai emphasized that Gujungu’s track record as Senior Special Assistant to the Kaduna State Governor on Intergovernmental Matters places him in a strong position to deliver results.
“Honourable Gambo Ibrahim Gujungu has consistently demonstrated loyalty, competence, and a deep understanding of governance and grassroots mobilisation. His appointment is not only timely but a strategic boost for political coordination in Kaduna State,” Bobai stated.
He further noted that stakeholders within CSGG view the appointment as a unifying move capable of strengthening political structures and enhancing citizen engagement across the state.
According to the official statement issued by the Movement, Gujungu will serve an initial 12-month term, during which he will coordinate all CBM activities in Kaduna and ensure alignment with the Movement’s national agenda.
Bobai expressed confidence that under Gujungu’s leadership, the Kaduna chapter of CBM would witness “renewed energy, inclusiveness, and measurable impact,” adding that the expectations for performance and structure are both clear and achievable.
“We believe this appointment will translate into a robust, results-driven framework that benefits not just members of the Movement, but the broader Kaduna populace,” he added.
The City Boy Movement also reiterated its confidence in Gujungu’s capacity to build a formidable state structure that reflects its vision of progressive leadership and effective governance.
