Predicts Clear Victory for President Tinubu in 2027
CSGG (Citizens Support for Good Governance) believes President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is strongly positioned for victory in the 2027 election, based on political structure and constitutional realities. Nigeria’s Constitution requires a presidential candidate to secure a simple majority of votes nationwide and at least 25% of the votes in two-thirds of the states (24 states).
With the APC currently controlling about 30 states, the party enjoys a clear nationwide spread and organizational advantage.
If grassroots support, voter turnout, and party cohesion remain stable across these states, meeting the constitutional threshold becomes achievable, potentially making the outcome evident early in the collation process. In such a scenario, CSGG maintains that there will be no vacancy in Aso Rock until 2031.
