APC’s Choice of Uba Sani for Ekiti Campaign Council Reflects Confidence in Proven Leadership – Victor Bobai
Abuja, Nigeria – The appointment of Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, CON, as Chairman of the APC 2026 Ekiti Governorship Election Campaign Council has been described as a strategic decision rooted in performance, political experience, and a proven track record of electoral victories.
Speaking shortly after the inauguration of the campaign council at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Public Affairs, Hon. Victor Mathew Bobai, said Governor Uba Sani’s selection was a reflection of the confidence reposed in him by the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to Bobai, Governor Uba Sani has emerged as one of the most successful political leaders within the APC family, having combined effective governance with outstanding political management since assuming office as Governor of Kaduna State.
He noted that the governor inherited a politically challenging environment but succeeded in stabilizing the state through inclusive governance, stakeholder engagement, conflict resolution, and development-oriented policies that have continued to attract national attention.
“Governor Uba Sani’s leadership style has promoted peace, strengthened unity among communities, expanded access to infrastructure, improved healthcare delivery, supported education, empowered youths and women, boosted agricultural development, and enhanced social investment programmes across Kaduna State,” Bobai stated.
He further explained that beyond governance, Governor Uba Sani has demonstrated exceptional political capacity by consolidating the APC’s position in Kaduna State and expanding the party’s influence in areas previously regarded as difficult electoral territories.
Bobai cited the historic victory recorded by the APC in the Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency House of Representatives by-election as evidence of the governor’s grassroots appeal and political effectiveness.
“The successful takeover of the Chikun/Kajuru House of Representatives seat from the opposition remains one of the strongest indicators of Governor Uba Sani’s ability to mobilize support, unite party structures, and deliver electoral victories under challenging circumstances,” he said.
He added that Governor Uba Sani himself rose to power through a highly competitive political process, demonstrating resilience, strategic thinking, and the ability to connect with ordinary citizens across Kaduna State.
Political observers have continued to view the governor’s appointment as Chairman of the Ekiti Governorship Election Campaign Council as a signal of the APC’s determination to retain power in Ekiti State through a well-coordinated and result-oriented campaign structure.
Bobai maintained that Governor Uba Sani possesses the leadership qualities, campaign experience, organizational skills, and consensus-building capacity required to lead the APC to victory in the forthcoming governorship election.
“As Chairman of the Campaign Council, Governor Uba Sani brings valuable lessons from Kaduna State where governance, party cohesion, and electoral success have gone hand in hand. His record has shown that performance and grassroots engagement remain the most effective tools for political success,” he noted.
He expressed confidence that under Governor Uba Sani’s leadership, the APC campaign in Ekiti State would focus on achievements, development, and a clear vision for the future while mobilizing party supporters across all local government areas of the state.
Bobai concluded that the governor’s national recognition within the APC continues to grow because of his ability to deliver results both in public office and within the political arena.
With preparations for the Ekiti Governorship Election gathering momentum, party faithful across the country are optimistic that Governor Uba Sani’s leadership of the campaign council will further strengthen the APC’s chances of securing another significant electoral victory.
